Visas

  • 1-Short Visa C:-

  • All documents must be presented in original during the possible interview:

– Required documents: 

  1. Original INVITATION LETTER from a friend or family member, stamped and
    signed by Service for Foreigners-Ministry of Security of Bosnia and Herzegovina
  2. Original and photocopy of Passport valid for minimum three months after the expiry of
    Bosnia and Herzegovina’s visa
  3. One recent photo ( 3.5×4.5 cm) on the Application Form
  4. Original and photocopy of Travel insurance for the period of stay in Bosnia and
    Herzegovina
  5. Reservation of return airplane ticket
  6. Minors under 18, who are travelling alone or with only one parent, must have verified
    approval/consent/authorization from both or from the other parent that is not
    travelling (original and photocopy).  
  7. Proof of payment of 60 EUR consular tax – to be supplied after the interview 

  • 2-Business Visa C:-

All documents must be presented in original during the mandatory interview

All Arabic documents must be translated to Bosnian language(s) or
to English

 – Required documents:

  1. Original INVITATION LETTER from employer (company, institution, organization), issued,
    stamped and signed by the Service for Foreigners-Ministry of Security of Bosnia
    and Herzegovina 
  2. Original and photocopy of Passport valid for minimum three months after the expiry of Bosnia
    and Herzegovina’s visa
  3. One recent photo (3.5×4.5 cm) on the Application Form
  4. Original and photocopy of Travel insurance for the period of stay
  5. Reservation of return airplane ticket
  6. Proof of payment of 60 EUR consular tax – to be supplied after the interview

The Embassy may, if necessary, ask for other documents such as: Original or
verified copy of employment (HR Letter or Work Contract or company
registration), Original Proof of financial resources– Bank statement, Original
Social Insurance Certificate…etc.)

  • 3-Conference Visa C:-

All documents must be presented in original during the mandatory interview:

All Arabic documents must be translated to Bosnian language(s) or to English

 – Required documents:

  1. Original INVITATION LETTER from conference organizer, stamped and signed by Service for
    Foreigners-Ministry of Security of Bosnia and Herzegovina or Verbal Note from the Government or international organization
    accredited to Bosnia and Herzegovina
  2. Original and photocopy of Passport valid for minimum three months after the expiry of
    Bosnia and Herzegovina’s visa
  3. One recent photo ( 3.5×4.5 cm) on the Application Form
  4. Original
    and photocopy of Travel insurance for the period of stay
  5. Reservation of return airplane ticket
  6. Proof of payment of 60 EUR consular tax – to be supplied after the interview

  • 4-Sports Visa C:-

All documents must be presented in original during the mandatory interview:

All Arabic documents must be translated to Bosnian language(s) or to English

 – Required documents:

  1. Original INVITATION LETTER from employer (association or 
    sport club…), issued, stamped and signed by Service for
    Foreigners-Ministry of Security of Bosnia and Herzegovina
  2. Original and photocopy of Passport valid for minimum three months after the expiry of
    Bosnia and Herzegovina’s visa
  3. One recent photo ( 3.5×4.5 cm) on the Application Form
  4. Original or verified copy of Player Registration and /or license or

Proof of membership in football or sport association (HR Letter or Work Contract) 

  1. Original and photocopy of Travel insurance for the period of stay
  2. Reservation of return airplane ticket
  3. Minors under 18, who are travelling alone or with only one parent, must have verified
    approval/consent/authorization from both or from other parent that is not
    travelling (original and photocopy).  
  4. Proof of payment of 60  EUR consular tax – to
    be supplied after the interview

  • 5-Family Reunion Visa D:-

All documents must be presented in original during the mandatory interview:

All Arabic documents must be translated to Bosnian language(s) or to English

– Required documents:

  1. Original INVITATION LETTER from family member, stamped and signed by Service for
    Foreigners-Ministry of Security of Bosnia and Herzegovina 
  2. Original and photocopy of Passport valid for minimum three months after the expiry of Bosnia
    and Herzegovina’s visa
  3. One recent photo (3.5×4.5 cm) on the Application Form
  4. Original marriage certificate verified by Ministry of Foreign Affairs of A.R.Egypt
  5. Original birth certificate (for children) verified by Ministry of Foreign Affairs
  6. Original and photocopy of Travel insurance for period of 7 days
  7. Reservation of airplane ticket
  8. Proof of payment of 95 EUR consular tax – to be supplied after the interview

The Embassy may, if necessary, ask for other documents such as: Original Proof of
financial resources– Bank statement, etc.)

  (Visa process takes up to 30 working days starting from the interview date)

  • 6 –Student Visa D:-

All documents must be presented in original during the mandatory interview:

All Arabic documents must be translated to Bosnian language(s) or to English

– Required documents:

  1. Original INVITATION LETTER from educational institution in Bosnia and Herzegovina,
    stamped and signed by Service for Foreigners-Ministry of Security of Bosnia and
    Herzegovina
  2. Original and photocopy of Passport valid for minimum three months after the expiry of
    Bosnia and Herzegovina’s visa
  3. One recent photo ( 3.5×4.5 cm) on the Application Form
  4. Original letter of enrolment for coming academic year, from university or school in
    Bosnia and Herzegovina
  5. Original or verified copy of accommodation arrangement in Bosnia and Herzegovina (rent
    contract or dormitory).
  6. Proof of adequate financial means (for daily expenses)
  7. Travel insurance for one month
  8. Reservation for airplane ticket
  9. Minors under 18, who are travelling alone or with only one parent, must have verified
    approval/consent/authorization from both or from the other parent that is not
    travelling (original and photocopy).  
  • Proof of payment of 95 EUR consular tax – to be supplied after the interview

    (Visa process takes up to 30 working days          starting from the interview date)

  • 7-Work Visa D:-

All documents must be presented in original during the mandatory interview:

All Arabic documents must be translated to Bosnian language(s) or to English

  1. Original INVITATION LETTER from Legal entity (firm, company etc.) in Bosnia and
    Herzegovina, stamped and signed by Service for Foreigners-Ministry of Security
    of Bosnia and Herzegovina 
  2. Original and photocopy of Passport valid for minimum three months after the expiry of
    Bosnia and Herzegovina’s visa
  3. One recent photo ( 3.5×4.5 cm) on the Application Form
  4. Original working permit of the applicant
  5. Travel insurance for one month
  6. Reservation for airplane ticket
  7. Proof of payment of 95 EUR consular tax – to be supplied after the interview

– (Visa process takes up to 30 working days starting from the
interview date)

  • 8-Tourist Visa:- 

  • Tourist visa application is accomplished in three steps:

I – Preparing required documents

All documents must be in one of official languages of Bosnia
and Herzegovina (Bosnian/Croatian/Serbian) or in English. Original documents
must be presented during the mandatory interview.

  • 1-Original and photocopy of Passport valid for minimum three months after the expiry of
    Bosnia and Herzegovina’s visa
  • 2-One recent photo (3.5×4.5 cm) on the Application Form
  • 3-Dully filled and printed visa Application Form (attached to the mail)
  • 4-Original and photocopy of Voucher from hotel or travel agency in Bosnia and Herzegovina – 
  • with signature and stamp, stating name of guest and period of stay starting at least 45 days after visa
    application date.
  • 5-Original and photocopy of proof of payment for accommodation – Hotels cash register note (if paid by cash)

     – Statement from the bank (if paid by credit card) or, Slip from Western Union or Slip from
      bank for SWIFT transfer

  • 6- Original Proof of employment (HR Letter,
    Company registration, Tax card) or Proof of ongoing education for students –
    Letter from the school or university
  • 7-Original Proof of financial resources (100 US
    $ per day) – Bank statement for previous three months
  • 8-Original and photocopy of Travel insurance for
    the whole period of stay in BiH
  • 9-E-TICKET NUMBER for round-trip airplane ticket
  • 1-Original proof of payment of 60 EUR for consular fee (single entry/multiple entries).
    Details of bank account for consular fee payment will be supplied after the
    interview (this document is the only one that is to be submitted after
    interview).
  • 2-Minors under 18, who are travelling alone or with only one parent, must have verified
    approval/consent/authorization from both or from other parent that is not
    travelling (original and photocopy).  

II – Visa application

Applying for tourist visa must be done from 60 days
minimum to 90 days maximum before the travel date to Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The applicant must send all required documents scanned in one pdf file to the Embassy’s mail address (ambbihcairo@gmail.com) for its verification and posterior scheduling of interview appointment. During
the interview appointment, applicant will submit Visa Application and required documents.

III – Decision on Visa Application      

It takes up to 45 days (after the interview) for competent
authorities of Bosnia and Herzegovina to decide for each tourist visa application.  

Note: it is mandatory to apply for a BiH visa in person, as well as to do an interview.
